14 tools · free · unlimited

Professional photo tools.
Private by default,
cloud when you choose.

Remove backgrounds, erase things you don't want, upscale, colourise, add speech to text — on your own hardware in a browser tab, or on our cloud for instant first runs. Your choice, on every tool, every time.

  • Private by default

Every tool can run entirely inside your browser — flip it to on-device mode and your photos never touch a server. Cloud speed is there when YOU choose it.

  • Free, no credits

On-device processing is unlimited — use it a thousand times a day. Cloud processing has a generous free daily allowance.

  • No account needed

Every tool works without signing up. An optional free account adds cloud allowance; PRO adds saving your work online.

Features

Every tool, free and unlimited

Each one opens in its own page inside the editor, with a nav to jump between them. Pick a photo, adjust, download — nothing is ever sent anywhere.

How it works

Four steps, and none of them is signing up

Every tool can run right in your browser — the AI model downloads once and runs on your hardware, the way a game loads its assets. Prefer zero waiting? A visible switch sends the run to our cloud instead, and Auto picks for you.

  1. 01

    Open a tool

No account needed, no trial. Click Start editing and pick what you need from the nav.

  2. 02

    Drop in a photo

Drag it, paste it, browse for it, or shoot one with your phone camera. By default it stays on your device.

  3. 03

    It runs where you choose

On-device: the model downloads once, stays cached, and every later run is instant — even offline. Or cloud: instant from the very first run, nothing to download.

  4. 04

    Adjust and download

Tweak the settings, compare before and after, then save the full-resolution result straight to your device.

Privacy

Private because of how it's built, not because we promise

Most free editors are free because your images are the product. Here, your images are never the product: by default the work happens on your computer, and when you choose cloud speed, your image is processed and immediately discarded — never stored, never used to train anything.

Your files
On your device by default
In on-device mode the AI runs in a Web Worker in your own browser — your image never leaves it. Choosing cloud mode sends that one image to our server over an encrypted connection, where it's processed in memory and deleted the moment your result comes back.
Your account
Optional
Every tool works signed out. An account exists only if you create one — it holds your email, your plan, and (on PRO) the files you choose to save. Nothing else.
Your results
Yours alone
Output goes straight to your downloads folder, and is never used to train anything. PRO users can additionally choose to save a result online — stored until they delete it, visible to nobody else.
Your connection
Optional
Once a tool's model is cached, on-device mode keeps working with the network switched off entirely. Try it in aeroplane mode.

About

Why EditorsTab exists

Good image tools got locked away. The useful ones want a subscription, a signup, or a watermark on your work — and most of them are wrappers around models that are free and open in the first place.

Browsers changed that. A modern browser can run a real neural network on your own graphics hardware, at a speed that was a server job a few years ago. If the computing happens on your device, there is no per-image cost — so there is no reason to charge per image, meter you, or hold your result hostage behind an account.

So EditorsTab is the version of those tools with nothing in the way. Every model here is open source and licensed for commercial use, and every one can run locally — with an optional cloud mode for instant first runs on any device. The business model is just as plain: the on-device tools are free without limits, and a PRO plan adds conveniences like saving your work online.

Use it for work. Use it for a school project. Use it a hundred times today. Nothing changes.

FAQ

Questions people actually ask

Is it really free? What's the catch?

It's really free, and there's no catch to find later. On-device processing runs on your own computer, so it has no limits, no watermark and no trial that expires. The optional cloud mode has a free daily allowance because servers do cost money. A PRO plan exists for people who want extras like saving work online — nothing that works today ever moves behind it.

Do I need to create an account?

No. Every tool works without one — click a tool and use it. An optional free account raises your daily cloud-processing allowance, and PRO accounts can save results online to open on any device.

Are my photos uploaded anywhere?

Only if you choose cloud mode. By default — and always in on-device mode — your browser reads the image from your device, processes it in memory, and hands you the result; you can verify it in the network tab or in aeroplane mode. In cloud mode, that one image goes to our own server over an encrypted connection, is processed in memory, and is deleted the moment your result comes back — it is never written to disk or logged.

Why does the first use of a tool take a while?

In on-device mode, the first run downloads the AI model the tool needs — anywhere from a quarter of a megabyte to about a hundred, depending on the tool. Your browser then keeps that file, so every later run starts immediately and works offline. Each tool tells you its download size up front — or leave the mode on Auto and the first run happens instantly in the cloud while the model downloads quietly in the background.

Will it work on my phone?

Yes. The whole site is built mobile-first and the tools are tuned to keep memory low on phones. Very large models are only offered on devices that can handle them, and the app quietly picks a smaller, faster model when yours can't. Very large photos may take longer on an older phone.

Which browsers are supported?

Any current version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari — on desktop or mobile. Safari needs version 16.4 or newer. Where your device supports WebGPU the tools use it and run several times faster; otherwise they fall back to WebAssembly automatically and still work.

Can I use the results commercially?

Yes. Every model here was chosen specifically because its licence permits commercial use — they're all MIT, Apache-2.0 or BSD. Models with non-commercial restrictions were deliberately excluded, even where they perform slightly better. The full list is on the licences page.

Do you use my images to train AI?

No — never, in either mode. In on-device mode your images never reach us at all. In cloud mode the image exists on our server only for the seconds it takes to process, then it's gone. Nothing on this site trains, fine-tunes or collects anything.

What's the difference between on-device and cloud mode?

Same tools, same results, different place. On-device runs in your own browser: private, unlimited, works offline — after a one-time model download. Cloud runs on our server: instant first use with nothing to download, with a free daily allowance. Auto (the default) picks cloud until the model is on your device, then switches to on-device. A visible switch on every tool lets you force either.

Why did the tool have to download the model again?

Browsers reclaim storage from sites you haven't visited in a while — Safari on iPhone and iPad is the most aggressive, clearing it after about a week of not visiting. If you use the tools often, adding the site to your home screen makes the browser hold onto the cache far longer.

Something looks wrong or a tool failed. What now?

Try again first — most failures are a dropped model download and a retry fixes them. If a tool consistently fails on one image, try a smaller version of it; if it fails on every image, your browser may not support a feature it needs, and the tool will say so. Beyond that, email us and describe what happened.
